Wallpaper research

Classical wallpaper from Sandberg.

My friend asked me for wallpaper advice for her new kitchen. I must admit I am lacking knowledge in this field but I did some research through my magazines and internet and here are some favorites. If you have tips/links for my friend please leave a comment! Thanks! Wallpaper from last century, interior1900.com

Summer market

Just popping in online from summer vacation, by the ocean in Hvaler. Today we went to the market in Old Town of Fredrikstad. Got a really nice shelf for the mini kitchen I am planning to make baby Ellen later. Old Town of Fredrikstad: The view from the cabin...

Project: Shoe bags

Another project for this summer is making shoe bags. I've taken some photos of different shoes and I will keep looking for "nice feet" this summer! The plan is to print the pictures on to canvas and then sew it on to the fabric shoe bag. Maybe I'll use some of my thrifted colorful fabric?

there will be light

I've been thrifting the past couple of days. Here is what I found, and who knows where I'll put all those lights? And some funky fabric for my albums! And I am working on my t- shirt transfers, experimenting till I find the standard I like. I want there to be a standard size and "shape" so all can be combined. Not sure which one it will be yet, maybe a 20x20cm with a thinner edge.

Project: Photo album

One of my projects these days is to get some of those thousands and thousands of pictures from the past 5-6 years into albums. I am going to make it a realistic project so I am buying slip in albums. But they are so hideous so the least I can do is to make the cover a bit more cheerful. And I have a small collection of fun colorful fabric so I guess that's what it'll be. Album with fabric covers. I have made one already and I have hunted some more fabric. Here is a sneak peak of the album, the fabric has to wait for better (photographing) light.

Velcro love

Went thrifting today and found this crocket old outdoor rocking chair. It really looked like it needed a new home so I decided he (I think it is a he though he looks really nice in pink) could come back home with me. He was a bit faded so I added an old kitchen towel (that I also thrifted today) to the back. Think I will attach it with velcro that way I can change whenever I like : ). And the back is just the size of a standard kitchen towel which means I have tons of lovely designs to choose from.
Also got my mini cards from moo.com today. Yay!

little guy

I've been looking for a see through container for my computer keyboard keys for a while now, and finally the other day I found this little, or big if you like, guy. It's originally a LEGO container.

Jippi! Finally before/after pictures to show!

Sorry, but it is not the studio I have cleaned... But my back yard! Some nice guys with big machines came and just tidied up the place and it feels so good! Finally I can show some before after pics!
BEFORE:
AFTER: About the birds... I am usually not very fond of bird decorations etc outdoor, but these made out of concrete ( I think, originally from a bird bath) are just so simple. They are actually screwed into the wood of the patio rail. I wonder what Buster thinks when he sees them!
