photo + t-shirt transfer + stone
I really wanted to do something with this picture. And I am very facinated with the rough structure of concrete. I found this stone in my back yard (probably says something about the condition my back yard is.... back to that later!) and I thought I'd at least try to iron on some t-shirt transfer and this is what it looks like. Honestly I think it rocks ( ha ha!), now I am curious to see if it will last. Try this at home!

Trondheim goodies
As mentioned yesterday I spent the weekend in Trondheim, about a small hour's flight away, and I did find some goodies.
More and more ceramic pieces keep giving me the goose bumps these days. In the shop Sukker, I found the most adoreable cups and ceramic art work by the artist, Tiril Havdal. The kind that makes you start imagining yourself with that cup of tea on the poorch etc.... I am now the happy owner of these two pieces:
Then I popped by some thrift shops but couldn't really bring anything back on the flight, like this ladder chair would have been great in my kitchen:
Trondheim showed itself from its best side this weekend:

Lofoten art
As mentioned before I always take photos of art and other inspiring "stuff" when I am out travelling. Last week I visited Lofoten and I found quite a few things.
Cecilie Haaland is a ceramic artist I have admired for a while. We got a vase by her as a wedding gift four years ago and I always go by the shop when visiting Henningsvær. This time I also got to meet her in person - sometimes I appreciate the pieces even more when I have met the creator! One of her techniques, phottery, as she explains herself is "Images OF ceramic objects are photographed WITH a ceramic pinhole camera, and printed ON ceramic tiles with liquid emulsjon." It gives a very special atmosphere almost like a filter.
I couldn't handle myself, had to have this one cup/vase - love the fact that it is just half a fish showing and that it is on the inside, not very predictable!
Another inspiring place is the Lysstøperiet in Henningsvær, where they make candles. I am not a candle person, but every time I go there I want to buy tons of candles in all kinds of colors.... There is also a cafè with the best cinnamon rolls ever and the interior design is to die for. Love it!
And of course the Lofoten scenary itself.....

Mushroom knob
My latest crocheting project, mushroom knobs for the cabinet I just finished painting red. I think it looks cool though it is red on red. As my husband pointed out it would have looked even cooler on a white cabinet and I must say I agree, but for now it stays on the red (and I can always make more!!).

Crochet pillow
Finished! Want to do more with different colors!
Pippi Langstrømpe was on TV last night, fun to watch again 25 years later - and I must admit it is eye candy for colorful interior lovers!

Ekeberg car boot sale and crochet pillows
Today I went to a car boot sale - so much fun stuff! I only bought a miniature caravan, I have been looking for that for a while. But I tool pictures of some stuff I wouldn't have minded bringing home....
Also, I will soon finished my first circle shaped crochet pillow. Not so sure about my color mix, so I have done some research/inspiration hunt on crocheting and pillows in general. I found a lot of fun searching for "crochet pillow"!
(Sorry for the messed up page display, it looks like my set up has changed, will look into it!!)
I looked into it, messed up, lost my menu etc. - it is midnight here, tired, will look into it again tomorrow...sorry and good night!
Not so sure about the colors...
Mariebe
Nice colors! Solgrim
Don't know where this is from, sorry. I will practice my crocheting because this is my definite favorite!
