Copy cat

I don't like to copy other people but I must admit that I have lately... But I have asked for their permission! My friend had these lovely bracelets that I just had to copy. I haven't copied her since we were in 5th grade, but she has been very inspiring over the years. And the other thing was a summer jacket for baby Ellen. One of the other mom's I hang out with had this lovely jacket for her baby girl and I knew the minute I saw it that it would be perfect for baby Ellen. Again, I asked for permission....

3D niece

Made this yesterday. I couldn't sleep last night and visioned all the kinds of 3D boxes like this I could make. My niece Irma is having her family birthday party today and I am bringing this.

Kitty kitty

Look at this beautiful kitty tray, it used to be my in law grandma's. I love cats by the way, real ones and stuffed ones.

Wrap love

I love to wrap gifts! And I want them to look nice. Today is my niece Irma's birthday, she turns 2 and we had these two gifts for her:

The box is covered in Elias pictures (really hot amongst 2 year olds!) and the other one has paper from Åhlens - LOVE purple flowers! The card is from one of the books I thrifted the other day, it is the "I" (as in Irma) in an French alphabeth book (No, I did not cut the book, I scanned it and then cut it!).

Wondering what's inside?

A vintage toy "made in Japan" that plays "Fader Jakob", Irma's favorite song these days and the Flode drawing (same as baby Ellen got for her baptising).

Here are some potensial gift tags or maybe luggage tags? Today's been a good day. I'm crossing my fingers that I now can top this off by bringing my favorite magazine (arrived in the post today) to bed and read quietly... (No, it is not my husband I fear will disturb me...).

What I got

I promised to show what I got at NOA's last night, here are some pics. The best bargain was the "fill a bag" with books - pay 100 kr. I found some new and some really nice old children's books.

New favorite

I have a new thrift shop favorite, too bad it is 30 minutes drive each way. They have so much nice stuff and really cute displays. Some of the obvious good things are spendy but there are some hidden gems for a good bargain. The place is called NOA and is located in Hakadal. Here are some of their displays, tomorrow I'll show you some of my buys.
